THE BOOK BY STRANGERS

Writing a book is difficult, but it’s easier with help. So, what if 100 strangers could become 100 co-authors? It was this idea that gave birth to The Book By Strangers — an art experiment in anonymous collaboration. The purpose was to see if people who never met each other could connect through their words and ultimately write a book together.

Given this premise, I asked 100 people on the streets of San Francisco if they could write something, whether long or short, but somehow related to the previous page. This personal project received visitors from over 45 countries and press in the U.S., Japan, China, France, and Sweden. It also inspired others to create the same project in their local communities.

Please get in touch if you're interested in making it in your city.
